Interstates and Highways

Webster City is located on Highway 20 which will be a 4 lane highway in 2018 connecting with I-35 (12 miles to the east and I-29.  This allows for truck transportation direct 4 lane access to the  interstates to the east, west, north, and south by way of I-35, I-80 and I-29 to all parts of the USA as well as CN and MX.

Major metro markets that can be reached in one day by truck include:

Railroads

Webster City is served with Class 1 rail services by both the Union Pacific and Canadian National railroads.  Canadian National carries freight east-west and Union Pacific carries freight north-south, connecting to the main Union Pacific line in Ames, IA.  Plans are in the works for a Rail Port and Trans-load facility just east of town.

Airports

Commercial air service is offered by Air Choice One from Fort Dodge, IA (approximately 25 miles west of Webster City) with daily flights connecting through Minneapolis.  Des Moines International airport is 81 miles south of Webster City and features nine passenger airlines and two air cargo companies. 

Webster City also boasts its own municipal airport with a 4,007 foot runway, private air services, full time FBO, and available jet fuel.
